Our Heirloom Teddy Bear Collection (now retired) recalls some of the great bears from yesteryear which are fondly remembered by many of us. The old bears now command prices that few of us can afford.

The Centenary Bear from CymruTed

The Centenary Bear was made to celebrate 100 years of teddy bear making. Carefully styled to resemble a Steiff bear from the 1903 - 1909 period, this gorgeous 15 inch teddy hearkens back to the vintage bears of bygone days. Made from lovely thick German mohair, the sumptuous look and feel of this teddy means that it is destined to become a treasured heirloom. We even had one visitor reach out and seized the bear’s ear and said, “Where is the button!”

Emily is a totally huggable 12 (30 cm) inch rendition of an early Steiff Teddy Bear in green/brown distressed mohair with hand dyed felt pads and she wears a gold coloured silky bow. Distressed features on her body and pads.

Beatrice is a charming 14 (35 cm) inch rendition of a 1930s Chiltern Teddy Bear in blonde and gold distressed mohair with cream ultrasuede pads and she wears an antique lace scarf on her head.

Edward is a stunning 16 inch (40 cm) rendition of a 1920s Farnell Teddy Bear in cream short pile mohair with fawn felt pads and traditional Farnell claws.
He wears a sailor suit and hat.

Big Ben is a truly lovable 18 inch (46 cm) rendition of a 1920s Bing long nose teddy bear in sparse blonde mohair with beige pads and a crumpled silky bow.
